What made you bring the Shoshanna collection into your store?
“My husband bought me two Shoshanna dresses several years back when we were visiting New Orleans, and I’ve been hooked ever since! Dressed by Lori is an extension of my personal style and we embrace the dress 100% since we only carry dresses. I carry lines that I love and believe in and want to share that excitement with my customers. My store has been carrying Shoshanna since opening exactly one year ago, and it has a very strong presence in our store. The dresses have a sexy sophistication, and timelessness that Dressed by Lori does and will continue to embrace.”
What is it about Shoshanna’s clothing that you and your customers love?
“What I love most about her dresses is the fit and versatility that can be worn from ‘day to play’ depending on how you accessorize it. The prints are amazing, and the timeless styles are the number one reason that her clothing is so popular with our customers and staff. Customers continue to buy her dresses over and over because of the fit. They flatter so many different body types and are always high quality. Our customer continues to return again and again to see the latest Shoshanna dresses.”
“I immediately fell in love with the color of this dress and lace detailing. After trying it on, I didn’t want to take it off! It fit me perfectly and I love how feminine and sophisticated it makes me feel. The style of this dress is so classic and I know I will get a lot of use out of it.”

What Shoshanna styles are you wearing this season?
“I love, love, love the Mikala dress from the Summer 2013 line. I’m always drawn to a dress with sleeves so I don’t have to cover up if I’m in air-conditioning. I wear it with neutral booties, and add a chunky necklace for a night out. It’s so versatile! I’m also obsessed with the lace Sierra dress in celestial blue from the Fall 2013 collection. I plan on wearing this dress to a wedding in December with a nude heels and chandelier earrings. Shoshanna designs this dress every season, but in the latest and newest colors so it looks completely different. This is such a classic dress that can be worn for years to come!”
Lastly, what is your all-time favorite Shoshanna piece?
“I have silk and chiffon party dress in this gorgeous blue print with white ribbon detail just below the bust line. I wore it for my surprise 50th birthday party so I certainly have an emotional attachment to it. Seven years later, it’s still my favorite.”
Thank you so much, Lori! Mark your calendars and be sure to stop by her trunk show.
