How did you pick the dresses?

I have to give a shout out to my maid of honor, my sister, on this one because she was so instrumental in the dress selection.  In fact, she even went so far as to create paper dolls wearing the Shoshanna dresses so we could see the entire look put together with my wedding dress.  Slightly obsessive ;)

We wanted the girls to wear dresses that would be flattering, flawlessly made and really fun to wear, which, of course, drew us right to Shoshanna.  My friends Laura Macris and Rebecca Penner own Crush Boutique on Newbury Street which, lucky for us, is always in full supply of Shoshanna.  We went in one day and tried on several looks. With the help of the amazing Crush staff, we ultimately decided on the Floral Julianne for my sister and the Jean Strapless Chiffon Dress for the bridesmaids.  We paired the navy bridesmaid’s dresses with  beautiful lavender necklaces to tie the whole look together!

What accessories did you pair with your dress?

I wore an amethyst multi-strand necklace, and the bridesmaids wore lavender jade. The dark purple really brought out the deep purple in the dress and complimented the centers of our Picasso Calla Lilies.

Maija, Maid of Honor

What was your favorite part of the dress?

I loved the sweetheart neckline! Although my very favorite thing about the dress was the built-in, but conveniently hidden, bustier. Genius.

Maija, Maid of Honor

What was the best song to dance in wearing the dress?

The TWIST, duh. You can totally go low in that sh*t.

Katie, Bridesmaid

What was your favorite part of the dress?

Pockets!! Stowing lip gloss and business cards has never been so glam!

Erika, Bridesmaid

What accessories did you pair with the dress?

A beautiful gemstone necklace, gifted from the bride, and metallic strappy stilettos. The dress is a showstopper with minimal need for accessories!

Had you ever worn Shoshanna before?

Yes, I wore a Shoshanna dress to New Year’s dinner in the Caribbean! Shoshanna dresses are so versatile-they can be worn for lots of occasions!

Erika, Bridesmaid

Thanks so much to Wesleigh, her bridesmaids, and White Loft Studio!
